RECENT WORK

Fraser Duncan McDonald moved to California in 2023 from Scotland, where he grew up in the rolling hills of the Scottish Lowlands before getting his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the University of Edinburgh. 

Since moving to California, Fraser’s oil painting has been greatly influenced by Impressionism, lending a stylistic rawness to his sweeping Scottish Highland, Lowland, and recent California landscapes. 

Fraser’s modern artistic influences are Marilyn Eger, Alison Johnson, and Kathleen Dunphy.
